St. Philip's Episcopal Church is one of the early churches in the Episcopal Diocese of Dallas.

The Texas historical marker was erected in 1978 on the old church to celebrate the history of St. Philip's. The marker is now located inside the new church building at the foot of the McKenzie Bell tower.
